Twitter acquires Quill to improve messaging tools

<p>Twitter acquired Slack-like company Quill to improve messaging tools. Slack is a popular online workplace messaging platform that is used by many enterprises. Quill, this year, emerged as a potential competitor for Slack. Twitter&#39;s GM for core tech, Nick Caldwell, stated that the Quill team will help them&nbsp;improve its direct messaging tool and make it more useful and expressive.
