Twitter Will Now Add An ‘Official’ Badge To High-Profile Accounts

<p>Some verified high-profile accounts will get a new &quot;official&quot; badge from Twitter, according to the company. The label would be put below the account name and handle. Twitter&#39;s early-stage products executive Esther Crawford revealed this in a post on Tuesday. Not all previously verified accounts will receive the new badge, according to Crawford. Twitter initially planned to roll out its new system in which anyone can buy themselves a blue checkmark for $8 per month.</p>
