US Government Increases Pressure on ByteDance to Divest TikTok

<p>The US Government has intensified its efforts to pressure TikTok&#39;s parent company, ByteDance, to divest its US operations. The US Committee on Foreign Investment has extended the deadline for ByteDance to complete the divestment until May 1st. In addition, the US government has ordered ByteDance to store all user data in the US and to prevent access to it by the Chinese government.&nbsp;</p>
