WhatsApp bans 2mn Indian accounts between May-June 

<p>Over 2mn Indian accounts were banned by WhatsApp between May 15 to June 15 using the Indian country code identifier. 95% of these accounts were banned due to reports of spamming users and unauthorized use of bulk messaging. On average 8 mn accounts are banned worldwide on a monthly basis. 345 grievances were received between the period and 204 appealed against account bans.&nbsp;</p> <p><br /> &nbsp;</p>
