Wipro reduces starting salaries for freshers by 20%

<p>Indian IT services giant Wipro has reportedly reduced the starting salaries of its fresher employees by 20% for the batch joining in 2022. In an email sent to the freshers, the company cited the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic on the global economy and said the decision was taken after &quot;careful consideration&quot;. The email also mentioned that Wipro would provide performance-based bonuses and increments to the employees.</p>
