World Bank, African based tech group to establish data centers in region

<p>The World Bank&#39;s IFC partners with Liquid Intelligent technologies to establish data centers and provide fiber-optic connections on the continent. As the African population is urbanising, data consumption is likely to increase. There&#39;s also a rat race between China&#39;s Huawei and USA&#39;s Amazon and Microsoft to set up massive data centers in the continent. Following the investment of IFC in February &#39;21, the total issuance raised totals up to $620M.<br /> &nbsp;</p>
