YouTube Introduces New Ad-Policy Providing 45% Revenue to Shorts-Content Creators

<p>Facing stiff competition against Chinese social media and content-creation platform TikTok, the Google-owned video platform YouTube unveiled a new ad-policy for its users on Tuesday. According to the new policy, creators on the platform will enjoy a 45% share in revenue obtained from advertising if they are to indulge in the platform’s Shorts format for producing content. The move comes amidst the rise in popularity of the bite-sized video creation trend.</p>
