India’s New Climate Targets: Bold, Ambitious
<p>Geographic information system (GIS) company Esri India projects that during the next 7 years, technology-based awareness campaigns would cut the nation's per capita carbon footprint by roughly 30%. India's per-capita carbon dioxide emissions have increased dramatically in recent years, reaching a maximum of 1.9 metric tonnes in 2021 from 0.39 metric tonnes in 1970. Plans are to integrate a few other available data sets and provide insights to government bodies. </p>
