Indian Army launches WhatsApp like messaging app for jawans

<p>Indian Army has launched a messaging app, named Secure Application for the Internet or &nbsp;SAI for its personnel. The app supports an end-to-end secure voice, text and video calling services, and as of now available on Android platform only. It is similar to commercially available messaging apps -- WhatsApp, Telegram, etc with end-to-end encryption. The process for filing IPR, hosting the infrastructure on NIC, and working on iOS platform is underway.</p>
