RBI To Launch Digital Rupee For Specific Uses

<p>The Reserve Bank of India will soon launch digital rupee for specific use cases. The bank has been researching on the fors and againsts of the digital currency for some time and is working towards a plan to implement it in a phased manner. The use cases will be designed in such a way that there is less or no disruption to the financial system, said RBI. It is also considering a &quot;token-based&quot; retail central bank digital currency (CBDC) as they are equivalent to cash.</p>
