India Plans to Implement Trusted Source Rules in Power Sector

India's National Cyber Security Coordinator, M U Nair, announced plans to extend trusted source product regulations to the power sector, mirroring the 2021 telecom sector directive that enhanced network security. This initiative aims to protect energy grids by ensuring the use of indigenous, secure equipment, reducing reliance on potentially vulnerable foreign technologies.
