NetWalker Ransomware Operator Sentenced to 20 Years in Prison

Sebastien Vachon-Desjardins, a Canadian national and former NetWalker ransomware affiliate, has been sentenced to 20 years in U.S. federal prison. He was extradited from Canada and pleaded guilty to charges including computer fraud, wire fraud, and intentional damage to protected computers. Vachon-Desjardins was also ordered to forfeit $21.5 million in illicit earnings.
