Amazon backed insurtech start-up Acko raises $60M in Series D financing round

<p>Acko has raised $60M in its Series D financing round led by Munich Re Ventures; joined by existing investors Amazon, RPS Ventures and Intact Ventures. The new round brings Acko&rsquo;s to-date raises to $200M, values the startup at $500M. Absence of middlemen and digital-first approach has helped Acko gain popularity in the country. It plans to use the fresh capital to scale its tech and data teams by 30%-40% while also investing in branding to reach more customers.</p>
