Microsoft Tests Quick Machine Recovery to Remotely Restore Unbootable PCs

Microsoft is testing Quick Machine Recovery, a Windows 11 feature enabling IT professionals to remotely restore devices that cannot boot. Introduced in the latest Windows Insider Preview build (6120.3653), this tool prompts devices to enter the Windows Recovery Environment, allowing network access and diagnostic data transmission to facilitate remote fixes via Windows Update. The initiative aims to prevent outages similar to the 2024 CrowdStrike incident.
