Google's prototype augmented reality glasses will soon head outdoors

<p>Beginning next month, Google intends to test augmented reality (AR) prototypes in public. Google has been looking into ideas like augmented reality glasses that display translations instantly. The tech giant will test a "limited number" of prototypes in restricted parts of the US, according to a support page for the business. In 2024, Google plans to begin shipping its "Project Iris" AR headset.</p>
