ByteDance AI research head to leave as pressure mounts on TikTok

<p>ByteDance. the owner of controversial yet famous app TikTok, said that its head of AI lab Ma Wei-Ying will leave the organisation within a weeks time. &nbsp;Ying, trained in Taiwan and USA, joined the Beijing based company from Microsoft to become a VP and head of the AI lab in 2017.
