Face Recognition Company Clearview AI Receives Fine From France

<p>France fined US company Clearview AI &euro;20 million for violating privacy laws as criticism grows on the contentious facial recognition platform. Without getting consent, the corporation is alleged to collect facial recognition data from websites and social media feeds and then charge clients, including law enforcement agencies, for access to its enormous database, which reportedly has approximately 20 billion photographs.</p>
