How IBM’s AI-based human avatar handles marine litter
<p>IBM’s AI-based human-like avatar ‘Sam’ interprets user’s intent and retrieves relevant info from UNEP’s vast repository. It creates an emotional bond between the user on the issue of marine litter as it will lead to action of controlling it. IBM’s goal for the development of Sam was to prove that AI can be used to control marine litter and help the UN meet its sustainable development goals by 2025.</p>
