Researchers develop a robot that can fly and climb walls

<p>Chinese researchers have designed a robot that has capabilities like climbing walls, avoiding obstacles, and even jumping over grooves on the wall surface. The team from the Shenyang Institute of Automation of the Chinese Academy of Sciences said the robot&rsquo;s whole system contact force could be controlled precisely without any force sensors. Moreover, the robot is comprised of a single-degree-of-freedom manipulator cube-frame, effector, and a hex-rotor UAV system.</p>
