4 Malaysian Firms To Take Stakes In Govt's 5G Agency

<p>Four telecom firms from Malaysia agreed to take stakes in the govt&#39;s 5G agency. This was declared after months of delayed talks between the firms and the government. Originally started with 6 companies, Maxis Bhd and U Mobile dropped out of negotiations in August. The remaining Celcom Axiata, DiGi Telecommunications, YTL Communications, and Telekom Malaysia have agreed to take a total of 65% equity in the agency, while the government agreed to take the remaining 35%.</p>
