5G Calls, Internet May Soon Be Available On Flights In Europe

<p>The European Commission has stated that it is allowing European airlines to begin delivering in-flight 5G connection by assigning specific spectrum for in-flight 5G as well as &quot;prior mobile technology generations.&quot; Passengers will connect to an on-board pico-cell base station, which will subsequently use satellite to link to ground-based networks. It is envisaged that calls, messages, and data will all be supported.</p>
