Amazon is working on facial recognition regulations, says Jeff Bezos

<p style="text-align:justify"><span style="font-size:11pt"><span style="font-family:Calibri,sans-serif"><span style="font-size:12.0pt">Amazon Chief Executive Officer Jeff Bezos has said that the public policy team is working on proposed regulations around facial recognition technology, which has drawn criticism of the e-commerce giant&rsquo;s cloud computing unit. He said that the technology has positive uses to not to put &lsquo;brakes&rsquo; on it, but also holds a lot of potential for abuse. Therefore, it makes a lot of sense to regulate that, he added.</span></span></span></p>
