AMD, Intel, TSMC, Microsoft, others create universal chiplet standard

<p>Several tech giants have joined forces to create a universal chiplet interconnect express (UCIe) standard. AMD, Arm, Google Cloud, Intel, Meta, Microsoft, Qualcomm, Samsung, and TSMC are among the tech firms involved. The UCIe standard is intended to help with "die-to-die" hardware, software, and compliance testing links. They also expect that end-users will be able to mix and match chiplet components from different suppliers to create a custom System-on-Chip.</p>
