AMD third gen EPYC processors to power new Google Cloud expansion

<p>Google has announced that it will be expanding its VM lineup with 3rd gen AMD EPYC processors codenamed “Milan”. A major point in favor of Milan is its performance per core in real-time applications. These VMs are highly flexible as Google is offering standard, high-CPU, and high-mem versions each with seven machine types to cater to users' needs. These instances can be equipped with 56 cores CPU with multi-threading, 896 GB of memory as well as 3TB of SSD.</p>
