Big Tech Advances, But Will Take India Eight Years to Develop Proper UAV Ecosystem: Pawan Goenka

<p>Dr. Pawan Goenka, chairman of the steering committee and board of governors at IIT Madras, said that the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) have conducted ground-breaking research on drones, but it will take 7-8 years for India to become self-sufficient in the use of UAVs. A joint R&amp;D truthful, to be held in October, will bring together all 23 IITs. Goenka is the chairman of the R&amp;D committee, which is driving forward this project.</p>
