Center Announces Procedural Changes and Simplifies Frequency Distribution

<p>Telecom Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw addressed a set of reforms in the satellite communication (satcom) and telecom industries, including a National Frequency Allocation Plan-2022 (NFAP), to make business easier and draw in investment.In addition, Vaishnaw suggested that telecom companies increase the number of base transceiver stations (BTS) they add each week from the current 2,500 to at least 10,000, which would hasten the country&#39;s adoption of 5G services.</p>
