Chat to completely replace Hangouts in Google Workspace

<p>Hangouts will be completely replaced by Google Chat as part of the company&rsquo;s new messaging strategy. Google Workspace users will see the change starting next month. When a user tries to visit the Hangouts option in Gmail, they will be redirected to Google Chat. Google has assured users of Hangouts that their existing conversion will carry over to Chat except for some exceptions. Free Google account users are expected to receive the same change in the near future.</p>
