Current GPUs along with AI could be used to improve chip design, says Nvidia

<p>Nvidia Chief scientist and Senior VP of research, Bill Dally explained the use of GPUs to accelerate the development of new chip designs at various stages. Nvidia&rsquo;s NVCell project aims to automate most steps involved in manufacturing advanced nodes. A trained AI model can be used to correct design errors and Nvidia is successful in achieving 92% success rate. Some AI-engineered cells were smaller than those made by humans resulting in better performance and power levels.</p>
