Flipkart opens e-commerce fulfilment centre in West Bengal

<p>Flipkart, an e-commerce company, announced on Thursday that it had launched a fulfilment centre in Haringhata, West Bengal. It spans 110 acres and has the potential to generate 11,000 direct and indirect jobs in the nearby region. The facility was virtually opened by West Bengal Chief Minister Mamta Banerjee during the Bengal Global Business Summit (BGBS). Around 20,000 merchants from the state and the north-east region would be served by the tech-enabled facility.</p>
