Google Asserts Exclusive Capability to Operate Chrome Amid Antitrust Scrutiny

During the ongoing U.S. antitrust proceedings, Google's Chrome General Manager, Parisa Tabriz, testified that only Google possesses the necessary infrastructure and integration to operate the Chrome browser effectively. She emphasized that Chrome's features, such as safe browsing & password alerts, are deeply intertwined with Google's systems making separation unprecedented. This defense comes as the Department of Justice considers remedies including potentially forcing Google to divest Chrome.
