Google Claims Android Phones Alerted Users Before California Earthquake

<p>Google reported that some Android smartphone users were informed before a mild earthquake hit California as a result of the integrated quake detection feature of Android devices, which has been available since 2020. Dave Burke, Google&#39;s Vice President of Engineering for Android, claims that when the earthquake detection feature was tested during a magnitude 5.1 tremor in San Jose, a large number of Android phones were able to predict its arrival.</p>
