Google-Led App Defense Alliance Joins Linux Foundation, With Meta and Microsoft Joining Too
The App Defense Alliance (ADA), initiated by Google in 2019 to combat malicious Android apps, has joined the Joint Development Foundation (JDF) under the Linux Foundation. Originally focused on Android malware detection, ADA has expanded its scope to cover areas like malware mitigation and app security assessments. With the aim of improving app security and implementing industry standards collaboratively, ADA's move to JDF allows for the inclusion of other major tech players.
