Google to Delete Inactive Gmail Accounts After 2 years

In an attempt to clean up inactive accounts and free up usernames, Google has announced a policy to delete Gmail accounts that have been inactive for more than two years. The change will come into effect on June 1st, 2023, and will apply to all Google accounts that haven't been signed into for the past 24 months. Google advises users to ensure they have used their accounts or set up a recovery email address and phone number to avoid losing access to their accounts.
