Google's crackdown on third-party Android call recorders may finally be complete

<p>Google is revising its Play Store policy to prohibit call recording apps from employing a workaround, potentially closing the final gap that allowed these apps to exist. On May 11th, a rule will go into effect clarifying that "the Accessibility API is not designed and cannot be requested for remote call audio recording," preventing apps from capturing audio from a call. Call recording was an inappropriate use of the accessibility API, which led to the adjustment.<br /> </p>
