Intel sheds light on “Bonanza” BMZ1, BMZ2 bitcoin chips

<p>Intel announced its Bonanza Mine chip BMZ1 at ISSCC 2022 earlier this month. It believes that a single BMZ1 can achieve 137GHash/s while sipping 7.5W of power. The tech giant said that 300 of these chips can be packed into a 3600W ASIC miner to achieve 140THash/s. This performance is a bit slower than Bitmains top miner which mines at 140THash/s at 3010W. The firm has also said that BMZ2, which is expected to be more efficient than BMZ1, is already being used by select customers.</p>
