Major setback for Intel; defers 7nm processors until late 2022

<p>Intel announced a 6 months&rsquo; delay in the launch of its 7nm processors i.e. in late 2022. This is a major setback for Intel as its rival Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) has been selling 7nm processors for quite some time now. As an aftermath, the firm&rsquo;s stocks dropped after the announcement. 7nm processors are much efficient and a lot of firms prefer to build devices on them. Microsoft, Apple already relies on AMD. Apple announced to switch all of its devices to AMD.</p>
