Meta, AWS, Microsoft, And TomTom Partnering To Counter Google's Mapping Data Dominance

<p>The Overture Maps Foundation has been launched by the Linux Foundation. The program is backed by Amazon Web Services, Microsoft, Meta and TomTom. &nbsp;The Overture Maps Foundation is a new non-profit that aims to bring open map data to production systems and applications. There are only four member companies at launch, but there are plans to expand. The Overture Maps Foundation said that it&rsquo;s working toward releasing its first datasets in the first half of 2023.&nbsp;</p>
