Microsoft Azure CTO Calls To End Usage Of C, C++ For New Projects

<p>Chief Technology Officer of Microsoft Azure, Mark Russinovich asked developers to avoid using C and C++ programming languages in new projects and use Rust instead, due to security and reliability concerns. The only reason provided by the Azure CTO for the use of Rust is that it was chosen over C and C+ for new projects that will require a non-garbage-collected (non-GC) language while adding that the latter two should be treated as 'deprecated' by the industry.<br /> </p>
