Microsoft project, PeopleLens aids blind children in recognizing social cues in speech

<p>PeopleLens is a Microsoft research project that lets users keep aware of the positions and identities of the people around them, allowing for more dynamic and spontaneous interactions. Microsoft researchers sought to see if technology could help a youngster who had been blind since birth access information and apply it in a way that made sense to them. The project is a creative set of software tools that operate on a pair of augmented reality spectacles.</p>
