Over 1 bn users will have access to 5G coverage by end this year: Ericsson

<p>Ericsson Mobility Report estimates that 40% of mobile subscriptions in 2026 will be 5G. It also predicts that the end of 2020 will see over 1 bn people, about 15% of the world&rsquo;s population, will have 5G coverage and 220 million have 5G connection. In 2026, 60% of the world&rsquo;s population will have access to 5G coverage, with 5G subscriptions forecast to touch 3.5 bn. In India, 5G will represent 27% of mobile subscription by the end of 2026, said the study.</p>
