Shortage of smart chips leads to halt of 20,000 driving licenses in Noida and Ghaziabad

<p>Around 20,000 people in India's Noida and Ghaziabad cities are facing driving license delays due to a shortage of smart chips. The production of smart cards has been impacted by the pandemic, causing the scarcity of these chips. In the meantime, transport departments in these cities are issuing temporary driving licenses, which are valid for six months.</p>
