Tata Steel UK recycles its pollutants using bacteria-technology

<p>Tata Steel's blast furnaces in the United Kingdom use billions of microscopic bacteria to convert pollutants into raw materials for other industries, such as food packaging and animal feed, according to the Indian steel giant. At the two Tata Steel UK Port Talbot ironmaking furnaces in Wales, a pilot project led by the University of South Wales has been established. The project has already showed promising results, despite the fact that it is still in its early stages.</p>
