UK university researchers achieve world’s fastest internet speed

<p>Researchers in the University College of London has set a new record by achieving the world&rsquo;s fastest internet data transmission rate (DTR) that&rsquo;d enable downloading the entire Netflix library in less than a sec. The DTR is 178TB/sec &ndash; five times faster than the previous one, done by Japanese engineers. It was achieved by transmitting data through a much wider range of colours/wavelength than is typically done in optical fibre cable.</p>
