US agencies accused of using warrantless Stingray surveillance technology

<p>The US Secret Service and ICE have been using warrantless Stingray surveillance technology, according to documents obtained by the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU). The technology, which mimics a cellphone tower, can be used to track the location and other data of phones in a particular area. The ACLU has called for increased transparency around the use of Stingray technology and for legal guidelines&nbsp;to be established&nbsp;to prevent its abuse.</p>
