Despite conflict in Ukraine, MWC attracts large crowd

<p>More than 61,000 people attended the Mobile World Congress this week in Barcelona as geopolitics and technology collided, despite Russia&#39;s invasion of Ukraine overshadowing one of the pandemic&#39;s most-attended conferences. The GSMA, the four-day annual gathering of the telecoms industry, criticized Moscow&#39;s actions and prohibited the Russian pavilion. The MWC gathered just about 20,000 people last year, down from 110,000 in 2019.</p>
