Employees quitting ByteDance; seeking jobs in competitor firms

<p>ByteDance has already been facing a backlash from the GoI, with authorities mulling a ban on TikTok and Helo. Exacerbating the situation, now the company is losing its Indian employees to competitor start-ups – Chingari, Mitron etc. A lot of these have even hired execs from ByteDance. Exiting employees want to stay away from stigma that might be attached to working for a Chinese firm. It has frozen hiring and reassigned some senior management roles in India. </p>
