Ford hires Chief Digital Information Officer to expand software tech

<p>Ford Motors has hired Mike Amend as its Chief Digital and Information Officer, as the automaker wants to expand into software, subscriptions, and in-vehicle connectivity. Previously having served as President of Lowe&#39;s Online, Amend will focus on Ford&#39;s &quot;use of data, software, and technology&quot;.
