Ford to lay off 3,000 employees in India, US, Canada to reduce costs

<p>Ford Motor is apparently laying off over 3,000 employees and contract workers, with the most of the layoffs occurring among employees in the US, Canada, and India. In Dearborn, Michigan, there will be about 2,000 salaried positions lost. The remaining 1,000 staff members hold contract jobs with other organisations. Ford informed staff via internal email that it would start informing affected salaried and agency workers of the layoffs this week.</p>
