<p>A $1.66 trillion government spending bill drew overwhelming bipartisan support in the U.S. Senate. The measure would fund the federal government through the end of its fiscal year. Congress faces a weekend deadline to pass legislation. The bill includes $44.9 billion in emergency aid to Ukraine and NATO allies. It would be on top of the record $858 billion in U.S. defense spending for the year.
